Today will be the final step in our ceramic beadmaking workshop. Our journey took us from handbuilding beads and pendants from raw clay through the glazing, bisque firing and final overglaze firing process, and now the local United Indians’ elders group will use their finished beads to craft jewelry as gifts for other tribe members.
